DeMatteo Industries, LLC parented several subsidiaries that portfolioed high-profile acquisitions and later nationally recognized companies.
Many of Mr. DeMatteo’s business interests attained national prominence within three years of acquisition, which investments include large real-estate and developments, airport tract holdings, hospitality, gaming, medical facilities, television production, pharmaceutical manufacturing and distribution, foreign development investments, Native American investments, fine arts auction houses and galleries, and data processing.
Government:
Mr. DeMatteo served as an early member of the U.S. Peace Through Strength Initiative, and in separate capacity advised members of the House of Representatives, the U.S. Senate and two seated Presidents.
Commendation/Recommendations:
Presidential Task Force – At the behest of President Geoge H. W. Bush a flag was dedicated in the Rotunda of the Capital and presented to Mr. JD DeMatteo.

Early Life:
Mr. JD DeMatteo was born in New Haven, Connecticut. He was parented by his mother, Rosemary DeMatteo of Cheshire/Southbury Connecticut. (d. 2002) He changed his name to his mother’s maiden name (DeMatteo) in his youth.
Personal:
No records of marriage or children.
Mr. DeMatteo retired at the age of 38 and has since been acquiring assets for his portfolio.
Mr. DeMatteo has maintained one of the country’s finest private art collections. He has discovered many lost old master paintings and collected Roman, Greek, and Egyptian antiquities.
His latest find resulted in a 12-year international authentication effort which culminated in the book “Study of an Old Man – A Late Rembrandt Revealed” by Dr Christopher Wright, London England. (2021)
